We both work full-time and if we don't immediately return your call, text or email
we are either at work or tending to the kennel. We will respond ASAP.
A little bit about us
My name is Cynthia and I am an active Nurse working full-time,
I will be the one that you will mostly communicate with.
My husband, Jay is a rental equipment field service technician and works full-time also.
His parents, my in-laws started Stonesriver Kennel in 2002 and retired from the kennel in 2021 & 2025. My father-in-law started training me in 2021 to take over the kennel.
SRK, it's legacy and our Brittanys mean the world to us!
At Stonesriver Kennel, we specialize in breeding working Brittanys
for health and temperament and for companionship.
Each puppy has its own unique qualities, so we're sure to have the perfect match for you.
May we come and look at your kennel, the puppies or the parents?
Certainly, we welcome visits strictly by appointment.
Kindly email, text or call us to schedule your visit.
Please note that our hours are based on Central Standard Time (CST).
You will find our hours listed on our homepage.
We offer two types of registration for our Brittanys
In this section we will cover what non-breeding owners will receive.
1. Limited Registration
A *non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to be placed on our waitlist. This policy ensures that our puppies have committed owners and assists in covering the initial costs of their care.
This deposit is deducted from the prices above at time of adoption.
*No refunds-No exceptions*
*We do not guarantee markings or appearances; ticking, spotting, or masks
If these do not meet your liking or preference, these are not reasons for a deposit to be refunded.
Now for those interested in Breeding if you scroll down the page, you will find the topic discussed there.
We take the health of our puppies seriously and offer a health guarantee of 1 year for every puppy we sell. Our puppies are up-to-date on vaccinations and each puppy undergoes a comprehensive physical examination by our veterinarian at 6 weeks of age, which includes checks of their eyes, ears, mouth for cleft palate, heart for murmurs, hip and knee rotations, as well as for umbilical and inguinal hernias.
*This is included in the cost of the puppy, and you will be provided with a photocopy of the veterinarian visit/bill.
Should any unexpected issues arise, we will inform you immediately, we pride ourselves in being transparent.
We're confident in the quality of our puppies and stand behind them 100%,
Do any of the parents have any health issues?
Our breeding stock is free from hereditary or congenital health conditions. Brittanys, akin to humans, require a balanced diet and regular exercise, coupled with proper care, to maintain their health. Without appropriate care, they may develop health issues, including those common in humans during their senior years.
This is how our process works.
1. Fill out our application and let us know why you would like to have one of our Brittanys.
Submit your Application (Click here to get started)
You will receive a text message verifying that we received your application,
Please do not submit more than one application!
We will schedule a time to call and speak with you directly via video chat to answer any questions that you may have on how our process works.
2. After you have been approved to adopt you will:
Sign and return our deposit contract (Click here to get started)
We will not accept your deposit unless we receive this first.
You will not be placed on the waitlist without placing a deposit.
3. Review our Adoption Contract you will sign this on your adoption day (Click here to view)
Now for deciding colors and genders
You may choose one or more color/gender lists to be placed on.
Examples:
This an example of only one choice,
orange female
or
This is an example of three choices.
orange female
liver female
roan female
Now, let's talk about what if...
If we do not meet your place in choosing, your
deposit carries over to our next litter.
If you pass on your choosing, you will move to the end of the list in that category, the ones behind you will move up on the list.
Our waitlist can sometimes move very quickly, depending on our litter sizes.
Effective for deposits placed after 5/2026
Waitlist Rules
Our waitlist is intended for individual or families actively preparing to welcome a puppy. We understand that circumstances and timing can change. However, deposits are non-refundable and are used to hold your place on our waitlist. If three (3) litters are passed that match requested gender/color preference, you will be removed from the waitlist, and the deposit will be forfeited. This policy keeps our waitlist moving fair for everyone. We appreciate your understanding. Again, we do not guarantee appearances; if ticking, spotting, and masks are not to your liking, they are not a reason for deposits to be refunded.
3. Choose your puppy in person or via video chat!
When the litter reaches five weeks of age, we will reach out to schedule a selection date for when they are six weeks old and you will make your selection via video chat. We do offer the option of hand choosing your puppy in person, if you live close to us and would like to do so.
You will only have a 24-hour window to select your puppy.
*We want our choosings to run as smoothly as possible, if we have to wait longer than 24 hours for your decision, your place in choosing will be skipped and you will go to the end of the line!
Why? Unfortunately, in the past previous choosings have been held up
for several days and that is why we are implementing this policy.
Do you name my puppy?
On choosing day, we will ask if you have a name for your puppy.
If you do not have a name, only then will we give your puppy a kennel name.
4. Choose your puppy's Gotcha Day and Time! 🐶
Your puppy will go home at 8 weeks of age.
We will reach out with a schedule for you to choose from available days/pick-up times.
What if that day/time/week doesn't work for me?!
We are flexible and we work with you to find the best suitable day/time for you to arrive.
*Pick-up Policy*
You must arrive within 30 minutes of your scheduled time. If you are more than 30 minutes late, you will need to reschedule your pick-up date and pay the daily kennel fee as stated below. Remember to account for the time-zone change when planning your arrival for your puppy, we operate on CST.
Failure to pick up your puppy on the scheduled date will result in a $35.00 per day kennel holding fee that must be paid prior to pick-up.
We are flexible and understand that life happens please inform us 30 days in advance to avoid any fees.
Communicating with us is the key to a successful transition for both you and SRK.
When you come to pick up your Puppy, plan on being at the kennel for at least 30-45 minutes.
We offer a tour of our kennel, where you can meet your Dam and Sire, the littermates, and all of our Brittanys.
We cover topics such as feeding, filing AKC paperwork, vaccinations, and deworming.
Additionally, we discuss the pedigrees of your puppy's Dam and Sire and take the time to answer any questions you may have.
*Please be sure to remember the time-zone change when making your plans to arrive for your puppy. Again, we are on CST.

*FULL BREEDING RIGHTS*
$1500
Our breeding rights program is designed to protect the integrity of our Brittanys while supporting responsible, like-minded homes. We require health testing, approval of pairings, and ongoing communication--because these Brittanys deserve nothing less.
If you’re unsure about breeding, the $600 breeding rights fee cannot be paid later.
If you are planning on breeding, we first ask that you discuss and share your plans with us by sending a PDF of your breeding plan for your potential Dam(s) or Sire(s) via email. We’ll review it, offer any recommendations, and help ensure the decision is right for you.
Upon approval, we will require you to sign a breeding contract.
The registration must also include “Stonesriver Kennel” in your Brittany’s registered name.
We encourage and guide anyone interested in responsible breeding.

2/4/6/8 weeks- Deworming
6/8 weeks-Antiparasitic
1st vaccine-6 weeks 2nd vaccine-8 weeks
8 weeks-Heartworm protection

a de-wormer fee of $25.00 will be applied if needed. You will be notified in advance if this applies to an extended stay.
For your puppy's safety, you should avoid dog parks, doggie daycares, designated potty areas, and contact with unvaccinated pets.
Puppies can be around other people to foster their social skills.
Tip: Parvo can survive in the soil for up to 10 years.
Will I receive a vaccination record?
Yes, you will be provided with a health record print-out, and it will contain the necessary information for you to follow up at your veterinarian's office.
*It is also important that you continue to de-worm and use flea and tick prevention for your puppy.

Yes
You will receive a free lifetime enrollment with AKC Reunite
We will verify the microchip number with you via scan of your puppy's chip on adoption day.
You will also receive an email from AKC Reunite when we enroll the microchip in your name.
We do list our kennel as an alternate contact in the event you Brittany becomes lost and they cannot contact you; we will go collect the Brittany and bring it to our kennel until we can reach you and arrange for you to come and take your Brittany home.
Are tails docked and dew claws removed?
Tails/Dew claws are removed by us the 3rd day after birth. *We cannot guarantee that the dew claws will not grow back. According to the AKC Breed Standard, the tails will be 3-4 inches in length when fully grown.
We do now offer the option of not docking the tails.
To be eligible for this option you would have to be first on the waitlist for that litter and choose your puppy on the third day after whelping, the puppy will also have to be paid in full before tail docking to guarantee you will accept this puppy.
In the event we lose the puppy your money will be refunded.
Just a side note: Occasionally, some of our puppies may be born naturally tailless.
Do the puppies or parents have OFA Certification?
We have not conducted testing on our adult Brittanys as of 5/2025 we will be starting this in 2026 with our new Brittanys as they reach the age of two.
Additionally, this final certification cannot be issued until the Brittany reaches the age of 2 years.
Will you fly my puppy to me?
Regarding transportation, we will fly puppies via American Airlines Pet Embark. Keep in mind "live animal cargo" is subject to strict time constraints and temperature limits on planes, destinations are limited, and we will only fly in the U.S.
Careful planning and communication with you go into making this happen. There will be a minimum fee for this service of $200.00 not including airline fees, flight clearance health certificate, crate, feeding and watering containers required by the airline for your puppy's travel. These items will be at your expense.
We can meet you at BNA in Nashville or CHA in Chattanooga.
The cost to pick up your puppy if we meet you, then you and your puppy fly back home is $150.00
This fee does include the flight clearance health certificate for your puppy from our veterinarian.
If you fly in to collect your puppy at our kennel and plan to return by flight, you will need a flight clearance heath certificate from our veterinarian, which incurs an additional fee of $40.00.
The minimum age for puppies to fly is 8 weeks. All flight-related expenses for your puppy are your responsibility.
Will you deliver or meet me to pick-up my puppy?
Yes, should you require your puppy to be delivered to another state, we will include mileage, fuel, food, and lodging in the delivery fee.
We will agree to meet halfway, provided it is less than a 10-hour trip from our location to yours.
Our standard delivery rate begins at $1000.00 and increases with distance.
Crossing the U.S. Borders
We will not cross any borders, but we will meet you on the United States side of your border.
Any additional fees for this will be at the expense of the owner.
We do have puppies as far as the Inuit in Alaska and the Florida Keys.
If your country has a 30-day quarantine, you are not eligible to adopt a Brittany puppy.
Puppy Training 101
We train the puppies with basic commands such as sit, stay, wait, here, come, no, and leash training. We also use a training clicker. Puppies are not potty-trained as they do not develop bladder control until around 9 months of age.
We do encourage our puppies to use potty training pads starting after weaning.
We advise taking them outside to relieve themselves as soon as they wake up and every 45 minutes, use the same area each time and a bite of kibble as a reward and you will have success as Brittanys are quick learners. For biting issues, we suggest the jaw pinch technique: press your thumb on the back of their tongue and pinch your forefinger against the underside of their jaw while firmly saying, "NO Bite." The puppies are accustomed to crates and are used to a comfortable spacious indoor whelping box with a 10x10 outdoor kennel. They are familiar with using a doggie door, doggie bell, and are trained to eliminate on both concrete and grass.
Do we personally hunt our Brittanys?
We offer a lineage of high-quality hunting stock. Both my husband and I work full-time so we are not able to hunt with our Brittanys. However, many of our owners do hunt, and you can find their pictures here as well as on our Facebook or Instagram pages.
Can I return my puppy/adult for a refund?
No
We are obligated to remain involved in our Brittany's life, and we do require that you surrender the Brittany to us, NBRAN or ABR so we may team together to help you to find them a suitable home should you decide you no longer wish to keep your puppy or adult Brittany. We do not want to see any of our Brittanys in a shelter, this is the reason why we microchip them.
We do want them back, we do not judge and we understand.
Need to surrender an SRK Britt?
We understand situations can arise, please contact us first!
** We do reserve the right to refuse service. If at any point you become rude with us, you will automatically forfeit your deposit and be removed from our waitlist.
